Company X is a legal software company looking to change the game in the eDiscovery space by pulling together data from various platforms and creating an AI-driven experience on top of it. The client had little more than a budget and a prayer, and they were counting on us to create something truly impactful.

Overarching Goals

Knowledge visualization

What is AI/Gen AI, how can it help, and what are its pitfalls? First, understanding that the attorneys combing through millions of documents for multiple cases hosted on multiple platforms have real objectives and would require certain information—and projections—to make decisions about where they need to spend their time, how many resources they need, and if they're on track to deliver by the production date. To answer those questions, we started with an information and knowledge dashboard that integrated AI-driven projections for velocity and resourcing to give their users the wisdom to know what to do.

My role on this project was to craft a strategy and a narrative to move our client from discovery to the define phase of the project.

Gen AI

Next, we wanted to provide a truly helpful assistant, namely one that reveals the questions that one might want to ask a system like our—even at a particular moment in the experience such as onboarding.
